Trout Fish Derby

Trout Fish Derby is the post ambient, experimental collaboration of guitarist Warren Pratten and electronic musician Alex Schmoll. The two first crossed paths in 2020 and quickly discovered a strong musical rapport. What started as experiments in drone textures quickly grew into a focused collaboration where Warren's textural guitar work weaves with Alex's synthscapes.

The sound has been described as a sonic ride that lives somewhere between experimental spontaneity, and hypnotica. The vibe is chill, vivid and dreamlike. Using loops, drones, programmed beats, found sounds, prepared tapes, and spoken word, they layer, sculpt, and improvise to shape each performance.
